Haiti Chefs for Education Platform was created from the passion of Haitian Chefs & HCA founding member & President/Chairman Stephan Berrouet Durand, HCA Board Member Jouvens Jean & Markens Isidor.

The idea was to use their artistry, inspiration, talent, and skills to support & mentor future chefs of Haitian descent and to give them all of the necessary tools and Opportunities to reach their full potential.

In 2013 after the official creation of the Haitian Culinary Alliance-USA, Haiti Chefs for Education was inserted as one of the major programs of the association. The team continues to grow with marquee chefs and HCA board members like Neima Belancourt, David Destinoble, Alain Lemaire, Jimmy Moise and many others who will join together with HCA local & International Chefs from Miami from to give young Haitians real opportunities to succeed and ensure that the brilliance of Haitian Gastronomy is recognized at the highest level.

Today Haiti Chefs for Education is involved in a number of activities. We actively support the Hotel School in Haiti with equipment donations and bring Chefs to Haiti to work with the students. We support the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation-Haiti Fund which supports with scholarships Haitian Students who want to continue their professional education into a university level programs in the Caribbean.

We also work with the Haitian Community in South Florida where we work with Kids in the High Schools to teach them culinary Skills.
